Light or dark narrow streaks in Uniformity_500fpm_23296
Ensure that you have read the Image Quality Overview and followed the Image Quality
Defect Initial Actions prior to problem solving this particular image quality defect.
Light or dark narrow streaks are defined as poorly defined light or dark lines in the process
direction.
Note
For other types of streaks, see Streak Defect Type Selection .
Ensure that a supported media type is being used. Some glossy media can cause streaks.
Use the following procedure to problem solve light or dark narrow streaks.
1. Set NVM ID 32345 to a value of 1.
2. Print 100 pages of the PrintHeadReg_500fpm test pattern.
3. Restore NVM ID 32345 to the default value of 0.
4. At the post-processing device, remove two copies of the test pattern printed on the
web for analysis.
