1. Safety Precautions
Complete attention to safety has been given in the design of the device. However, there is a risk of injury or
damage to property as a result of incorrect use of the device or as a result of a failure to observe precautions.
Before using this device, carefully read the following safety-related information and be sure to use the device
correctly.
The descriptions related to safety use the terms “WARNING” and “CAUTION” to indicate the degree of injury or
damage and the level of imminence.
WARNING
If you sense anything abnormal during use, immediately discontinue use and contact your
distributor or WHILL Customer Support.
Continuing to use the device when there is a malfunction may have adverse effects on health.
Persons who have an implanted pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, or other electrical
medical device on their bodies must stay a minimum of 8 inches (20 cm) away from the
magnetic connectors.
The magnetic connectors are located at the connection between the seat assembly and rear
drive base, and the connection between the battery and rear drive base. The charge of the
magnetic connectors may have an adverse effect on electrical medical devices.
Persons who have an implanted pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, or other electrical
medical device on their bodies must stay a minimum of 6 inches (15 cm) away from the
control pad.
There is a risk of an adverse effect on electrical medical devices.
Turn off the device power when not operating.
There is a risk of accidental contact with the controller knob causing unexpected movement
of the device.
When using the device for the first time, be sure to check the device for damage before
using it.
If the device is damaged, there is a risk of an unexpected accident.
