5. Hold the microphone 1 inch to 2 inches (2.54 cm to 5.08 cm) from your mouth
and speak clearly into it. The announcement broadcasts through the speakers.
6. When finished, place the microphone back onto its storage clip.
8.1.4 Stopping a Playing Alarm/Tone
To stop a playing alarm/tone:

From the Play Alarms menu on the Control Panel, do one of the following:

To immediately stop the alarm/tone: Press the button under Stop Alarm .
OR

To wind down the alarm/tone: Press the button under Cancel Alarm .
8.1.5 Temporarily Interrupting a Playing Alarm/Tone
1. While an alarm/tone or message is playing, toggle and hold down the External
Speaker switch on the microphone sub-panel .
2. When ready, release the switch. The alarm/tone resumes playing.
