16.3 Limits of operation—Dry running
The pump can be
run dry
for short time periods, such as during priming or when there is fluid with pockets of
gas.
NOTICE
The pumphead is not designed to be
run dry
for extended periods of time.
Dry running
will generate
excessive heat. Do not run the pump dry for extended periods.
