Definition

The Expiratory Trigger setting defines the
moment when the ventilator will cycle from
the inspiratory to the expiratory phase.

In PCV-SIMV and VCV-SIMV modes, this
setting is applicable to the pressure support
breaths that are triggered by the patient.
