ESCRIPTION
Definition
A High Expired Minute Volume alarm will be
given when the monitored expired minute vol-
ume exceeds the set limit for the High Expired
Minute Volume alarm for 15 ±0.5 seconds.
This alarm is only used if the Vivo 65’s patient
circuit type is set to Dual limb or Leakage (single
limb) circuit.

Possible cause
• Mismatch between Breath Rate, Tidal Volume
settings and the alarm setting.
• Increased Breath Rate.

1.0 l/min
Setting max
40.0 l/min, Off (Adult),
20.0 l/min, Off (Pediatric)
Setting resolution
0.5 l/min
Ventilator action
The Vivo 65 will continue treatment with the
same settings.
Indication
The alarm is given audibly with a tone and visibly
by the yellow alarm LED and a display message.
