13.1 Docking station controls
A red LED (1) and a green LED (2) provide
information on the status of the docking
station and the wire signal.
With the Home button (3), the robotic
mower can be brought back to the docking
station during a mowing operation.
The docking station and consequently the
wire signal can be switched on and off
using the ON/OFF button (4).
Home button:
During a mowing operation,
pressing the Home button activates
Homecall.
The robotic mower ends the running
mowing operation, searches for the
perimeter wire and returns to the docking
station to recharge the battery. No further
mowing operation takes place in the
current active time.
ON/OFF button:
Pressing the ON/OFF button is not
necessary for automatic mowing of
the mowing area. The wire signal is
switched on and off automatically.
If the robotic mower is not docked,
pressing the ON/OFF button activates the
docking station. The wire signal remains
active for 48 hours if the robotic mower
has not previously docked.
During running operation, the wire signal is
switched off by pressing and holding the
button for 3 seconds and the robotic
mower remains in the mowing area. A
corresponding message appears in the
display of the robotic mower.
14.1 General
The robotic mower is designed for the
automatic mowing of lawns. The grass is
kept short through continuous mowing.
The result is a perfect, thick lawn.
Lawns that have not previously been
mown using a conventional lawn mower
will only be mown neatly following several
mowing operations. Especially in the case
of high grass, a good cutting pattern is only
achieved after a few mowing operations.
In hot, dry conditions, the lawn should not
be kept too short as it will otherwise be
burnt by the sun and become unsightly.
The cutting pattern will be better with a
sharp blade than with a blunt one; the
blade should therefore be replaced
regularly.
14.2 Mulching
The robotic mower is a mulching mower.
During mulching, the grass clippings are
further shredded in the mowing deck
housing after cutting. They then fall back
into the turf, where they remain and
decompose.
The finely shredded clippings return
organic nutrients to the lawn, serving as a
natural fertiliser. Fertiliser requirements
are thereby reduced significantly.
