DRYING PROCESS IN A FOOD DEHYDRATOR
Drying (dehydration) is a method by which food is heated, then evaporates the water. Most suitable
foods release moisture very quickly, already in the first stage of drying, which means that they can
absorb a large amount of heat and thus generate more steam. The main motor unit sucks in air, which
evenly heats up to the set temperature and then blows it into the dehydrator space through the
central opening through the pressure of the fan. The heated air is dispersed in the individual drying
trays and thus removes their moisture from the food. Moisture-absorbed air is discharged through
all drying trays and exits through ventilation openings. Before time elapses, you can visually inspect
the drying food thanks to a transparent window in the door, or by touch. For the most even process
of food drying, we recommend exchanging the order of individual trays (upper and lower). This model
has an integrated rear fan for better air circulation, even heat distribution on all trays for a perfect
drying result. Therefore, there is no need to Exchange trays during drying, as with models with a low
-
er or upper fan, where the air passes through all trays.
