General information on electrical connection
■ The total output of all components con-
nected directly to the heat pump con-
trol unit (e.g. pumps, valves, message
facilities, contactors) must not exceed
1000 W.
If the total load
≤
1000 W, the individ-
ual rating of a component (e.g. pump,
valve, message facility, contactor) can
be greater than specified (observe
max. contact breaking capacity; see
from page 47).
■ If the compressor and/or instantane-
ous heating water heater (if installed)
are operated at an economy tariff
(power-OFF), provide an additional
cable for the power-OFF signal (e.g.
3 x 1.5 mm
2
) from the distribution
board (meter box) to the heat pump
control unit (see from page 58
onwards).
■ The number of power cables from the
distribution board (meter box) to the
heat pump control unit depends on the
system version and tariffs used (see
from page 58).
■ Terminals may have been pre-
assigned (subject to appliance ver-
sion).
If two components are connected to
the same terminal, press both cores
together into a
single
wire ferrule.
■ The cores of the KM BUS cable are
interchangeable.
■ The neutral and earth conductors of all
components are connected to the lus-
ter terminals X2.N and X1.

on the
control panel (see page 41).
■ Make all connections on the control
panel (see page 41) with flexible
cables to enable the panel to be
brought into the service position (see
page 86).
For an overview of the electrical connec-
tions and more information on the PCBs,
see from page 41 onwards and the
separate service instructions for the heat
pump control unit.
For information regarding the power sup-
ply, see page 58.
Routing electrical cables to the wiring chamber of the internal
unit
Danger
Damaged cable insulation can
cause injury and can damage the
appliance.
Route cables so that they cannot
touch very hot, vibrating or sharp-
edged components.
Danger
Incorrectly routed wiring can lead
to serious injury from electrical
current and result in equipment
damage.
