Checking the condensate connection to the external unit
Check that the condensate connection
can freely drain:
■ Contamination of the condensate pan
and condensate line
■ Condensate line without any kinks
Checking the free running of the fan in the external unit
Danger
Starting the fan with the external
unit open can lead to severe inju-
ries.
Isolate the external unit from the
power supply and safeguard
against reconnection.
Be aware that the fan may run
on.
1.
■
Type AWS/AWS-AC 104:
First remove the top cover and then
the front panel.
■
Type AWS/AWS-AC 107, 110,
113:
Remove the air outlet grille from the
external unit.
2.
Turn the fan by hand.
Cleaning the heat exchanger in the external unit
Danger
Contact with 'live' components
and their contact with water can
lead to severe injury from electric
shock.
Isolate the external unit from the
power supply and safeguard
against reconnection.
Be aware that the fan may run
on.
Cleaning with compressed air
1.
Open the casing of the external unit.
!
Please note
The sharp edges of the heat
exchanger can result in inju-
ries.
Avoid contact.
2.
!
Please note
Excessive air pressure from
the front and sides can result
in the deformation of the alu-
minium fins of the heat
exchanger.
Only point the compressed air
gun at the heat exchanger
from the front and at an ade-
quate distance.
Blow out the heat exchanger
from
the inside out
with compressed air.
3.
Check the aluminium fins of the heat
exchanger for deformation and
scratches; if required repair with a
suitable tool (e.g. fin comb).
4.
Close the casing of the external unit.
