2.86.4 Zone Outgoing Call Connection Limit
Description
Every system has a limited number of outside Lines shared between all system users.. The
number of outside Lines often is less than the number of other users. When all the Lines are in
use, you may receive an All Trunks busy signal indicating no outside Lines are available.
To minimize this situation, outgoing outside calls from devices in a Zone can be limited from 1 to
the maximum outside Line capacity of the system. As a default, the number of outgoing calls for
each Zone is not limited.
Operation
Operation of this feature is automatic based on zone maximum outgoing CO call number.
Conditions
1. If maximum outgoing outside calls is set to “0”, outgoing calls for the Zone are not
limited.
2. When a Zone reaches the defined maximum outgoing calls, you will receive error tone
and the display “OUTGOING CALL LIMIT OVER” when attempting an outside call.
3. Calls placed from a device in a Zone to a Networked system are considered outgoing
outside calls for the Zone and will be limited by the outgoing call limit defined for the
Zone.
4. Emergency calls are counted as an outgoing outside call however, the Emergency call
is always allowed.
