Multiple Voice Mailbox Support
Description
A station can access any Voice Mailbox by dialing the VM group, the mailbox number and
password. If you use an iPECS IP and LDP Phone, one or more Flex buttons of your phone can
be configured to access a specific mailbox and receive a visual indication (LED flashes) of
message status in the mailbox. A Flex
{VMAILBOX}
button is assigned to allow access to each
Voice Mailbox.
Operation
iPECS IP & LDP Phones
To assign a {VMAILBOX} Flex button;
[TRANS/PGM]
+
{FLEX}
+ VM group + Mail-box (station)
[HOLD/SAVE]
To access a Voice Mailbox using the {VMAILBOX} Flex button;
1. Lift the handset or press the
[SPEAKER]
.
2. Press the
{VMAILBOX}
Flex button.
3. Dial the Mailbox password.
Conditions
1. A Flex button can be assigned to access the Mailbox for a Station Group or outside
Line Voice Mailbox.
2. The
{VMAILBOX}
button LED will flash indicating new messages have been received
in the associated mailbox.
3. A Flex button cannot be assigned to access the mailbox of a networked station.
4. An external Voice Mail system may not provide proper notification to the system of
message status and thus, the
{VMAILBOX}
button LED may not properly indicate new
messages.
