Towing the vehicle
The towing eye is stowed in the front
compartment.
Remove blanking plug and screw the
tow ing eye fully into the towing p oint.
Attac h the tow rope

- or better still, a tow
rod

- to the towing eye, nev er to the front
suspension units.
Plac e the gea r shift lev er in the neutral
position. Sw itch on the ignition to release
the steering column lock and to permit the
op eration of the brak e lam ps, horn a nd
wind screen wiper.
Drive off slowly and avoid jerky
mov ements. Imperm issible trac tiv e forces
could da mage the vehicles.
More brake pedal pressure is necessary
when braking since the brake servo unit is
operative only when the engine is running.
To prevent the entry of exhaust fum es from
the tow ing vehicle, close the windows.
Consult a workshop . We recommend your
Vauxhall Approved Repairer, who will serve
you b est to get your vehicle back on the
road.
