For safety reasons, tyres should be
rep la ced when their tread depth has worn
down to 2-3 mm. The legal perm issible
minimum tread depth (1.6 mm) has been
rea ched when the tread has worn down as
far as one of the wea r ind icators.
Wear indica tors are sp aced at eq ual
intervals around the tyre within the tread.
Their position is indicated by markings on
the tyre sidewall.
General information
Note that the danger of aquaplaning is
greater if the tyres are w orn.
Nev er fit used tyres the p revious history
and use of which you do not know.

Winter tyres
Winter tyres cannot b e fitted to the
standard wheels of your
VX220
.
Special size wheels, which are available
from your Vauxhall Approved Repairer
must therefore be installed .
M+S tyres im prove safety at temperatures
below 7 °C and should therefore be fitted
on all wheels.
The design of summ er tyres means they
have limited qualities for winter driving.
If the maxim um perm issible speed for the
winter tyres is less than that of the v ehicle,
a notice indicating the m aximum
permissible sp eed for the tyres must b e
affixed within the driver’s field of v ision
