Camshaft B e arin g
1. Check the bearings fo r p oor con
tact, w orn thin, partially melted
o r heavily s c o r e d ,
If n e ce s s a ry , replace the b e a r in g s .
measuring the ^difference between
the camshaft journal diameter and
the bearing inner diameter.
T h e clea ran ce should be 0.025 to
0.066 mm (0.0010 - 0 .0 0 2 5 " ) .
If the clearan ce e x ceed s the limit
of 0.1 mm ( 0 . 0 0 4 " ) , replace the
b e a r in g s .
3. R em ove the expansion plug instal
led at the r e a r of the camshaft
r e a r bearing. PI ace the Camshaft
B earing
R e m o v e r
&
R ep lac er
09215-40010, and fit a w ren ch
into the slot of the Shaft to prevent
the shaft from turning, and tighten
the Nut with an another w re n c h ,
and then re m o v e the bearin gs.

4. If the camshaft bearings require
replacement, the camshaft journals
should be checked thoroughly , and
grind the camshaft first to d e te r
mine the under size bearin gs.
5. B e fo r e
installing the b ea rin gs,
align the oil holes in the bearings
with the holes in the b o r e s .
6. Install the new selected bearings
with Camshaft B e a rin g R e m o v e r
& R e p la c e r 09215-40010.
7. A f t e r
installing
the under size
b ea rin gs, ream the b earings with
a line re a m e r to obtain the c l e a r
ance of 0.025 ~ 0.066 mm (0.001
to 0 .0 0 2 5 ") .
