Least Cost Routing
Strata DK40 Programming Manual Spring 1999
5-5
LCR STD/International Codes, Program 51:
As many as 8 separate code tables can be defined for DK40 systems. There is one for each
available call routing plan. Each table defines the STD/International codes that are handled
by the particular routing plan. A STD/International code or number range can only be
assigned to one route plan.
LCR Route Plan Assignments, Program 53:
This program defines each individual Route Plan. The DK40 can support up to 8 plans.
A call Routing Plan can send the outgoing calls of a particular station group
(Program 56)
following a given time schedule out, using a specific route definition
.
LCR Route Definitions, Program 54:
This program defines the Route Definitions for each of the Route Plans. There are 4
definitions for each Route Plan.
assigns the trunk group to be used for each Route
Plan. This Route Definition is then assigned to it's chosen carrier by selecting and following
one of the System's Modified Digits tables
.
LCR Modified Digit Tables, Program 55:
There are 6 modified digits tables available with the Strata DK40 system. A Modified Digits
table defines what digits if any, the system must add or delete automatically in front of the
number dialled, or indeed add automatically at the end of the number dialled in order to route
the call successfully. If no digits need adding or deleting the table can just be left blank.
These digits can be in the form of an access code to a specific carrier, a system pause and an
authorisation code which is sent out before the number dialled. Up to 22 digits can be entered
(a pause is classed as a digit). 0-10 digits can be deleted from the front of the number dialled.
LCR Station Group Assignments, Program 56:
Each station port defined in the system may be assigned to one of four station groups. The
groups are then assigned to particular Route Plans/Definitions
. A station can
only belong to one station group.
Completing the Least Cost Routing System Record
Note
All stations using LCR should be ALLOWED line access in Program 40, and
DENIED line access in Program 41.
The following instructions explain completion of the System Record Sheets used to
program LCR. Instructions are arranged in the same order as the Least Cost Routing
System Record Sheets. The instructions are intended to give a concise, general definition
of LCR characteristics defined by each record sheet.
Note
1. On each record sheet, enter required data in the space provided to make a
selection, unless otherwise specified.
2. The initialised state and considerations are documented on the record sheet.
