Toshiba S20 Fiber Optics Communication

Introduction

This communication network enables the G3 to be integrated into your control system. Tosline S20 provides a
very high speed (2 Mbaud), noise immune (fiber optic) connection. Tosline S20 supports 1024 Registers across
64 stations.

Connections

In the T2, the Tosline S20 fiber
optic module is needed. This
module has two sets of fiber optic
communication ports.

In the G3, the S20 option
card is used in this system.
This card mounts under the
LCD display. It has one set
of communicaton ports.

To connect more than two drives to
the PLC, the optional active star
coupler is used.
