S-20 Module Setup:
Before continuing further, the rotary switches must be set on the S-20 module of the T2 and the S-20
option card of the G3. The lowest station must be the T2. For example, set it to ‘01' . The G3 can then
be set to ‘02'. Cycle power to initialize the new settings.
Use the Tosline S20
S-LS
set-up software to further configure the S-20 module. Once the S-LS software
is running and the screen displays the loader menu, type ‘I’ to enter
Setting Information.
Enter
Station All
Information
(#1) to check the addresses to which the G3 drive and the T2 PLC ‘talk’.
First set station number #1 to be the T2 PLC which is the master. The first G3 drive would then be station
number #2. At the same time set the station type to the appropriate device (T2, G3, etc.). Now, map the
addresses in the
S-20
system to designate the send and receive registers bearing in mind that each station
must have unique send/transmit registers. Refer to example table.
NOTE: Before attempting communications, use
Station Connect
(S) in the main loader menu to check if
communication settings are formatted correctly. If Station Connect has problems, communications will
not execute.
