PID can be turned ON/OFF remotely by programming one of the input terminal’s functions to ‘13” and
opening/closing it to ‘CC’ respectively. See Guideline 10 and the TERMINAL SELECTION
PARAMETERS
group. Feedback Control Selection in the FEEDBACK PARAMETERS group must still be set to ‘1’. The
drive’s stop/start command must be coming from the terminal strip for the remote PID ON/OFF to work (a
frequency reference can come from keypad if desired). PID can be turned ON/OFF in this way while the
motor is turning.
As a set-up or troubleshooting tool, program Status Monitor #
n
Display Select in the UTILITY
PARAMETERS group to ‘8’ (PID feedback value) so that the drive will display the frequency to which
the feedback corresponds.
The Proportional Gain, Integral Time, and Derivative Time values are read by the drive as they are
adjusted; it is not necessary to hit WRITE after adjustment (expect parameter adjustment to immediately
effect drive behavoir).
