Adding memory

Replace the cover and the screws.
CAUTION: Don’t touch the connector on the back end of the
hard drive. Doing so could generate electrostatic shock and
corrupt data.
The computer has two memory expansion slots—Slot A and
Slot B. You can install one or two memory cards.

Turn the computer over and restart it.
When you turn on the computer, it automatically recognizes
the additional memory.
Removing the memory module
If you ever need to remove the memory module, follow these
steps:

Complete steps 1 through 5 in “Installing a memory module”
to turn off the computer and open the memory slot.
Pulling the clips away from the memory module

Pull the clips away from the memory module.
The memory module pops partially out of the slot.

Carefully remove the module from the slot.

Replace the cover and secure the cover screws.
