Keyboard and display features

The RJ-11 modem jack lets you connect the computer’s internal
modem directly to a conventional telephone line. (Only on models
with an internal modem.)
Underside
The battery module enables the Tecra 8000 Series to be used when
a standard wall socket is not available. For further information
about using the battery, see “Power Management” on page 85.
Keyboard and display features
To view the front of the computer with the display panel open:

Locate the display latch on the front of the computer.

Press the display latch and lift the display panel.

Adjust the display panel to a comfortable viewing angle.
CAUTION: To avoid damaging the display panel, be careful
when opening and closing it. Never force the panel beyond
the point where it moves easily, and never use it to lift the
computer.
