The operating system
Your computer came with one of three operating systems
preinstalled:

Microsoft Windows 95
❖
Microsoft Windows 98
❖
Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0
The appropriate Microsoft operating system documentation came
with your Toshiba computer.
Registering your computer
Sending in your product registration card lets Toshiba keep you up
to date with information about new products and upgrades.
Registering your computer also extends your Toshiba warranty
worldwide at no charge to you. See the registration card and
warranty information for details about the warranty options
available from Toshiba.
HINT: After you turn on the computer for the first time, it may
give you the option to register online. To register online,
double-click the icon provided and follow the
instructions.(Online registration is
not
available in
Windows NT).
When and how to turn off the computer
It’s a good idea to turn off your computer when you’re not using it
for a while. There are, however, several things to keep in mind
when you turn off the power.

In Windows 95, use either the Shut Down or the Suspend
command to turn off the computer.
