specification, the operating system manages the power status of
the computer and all motherboard devices. It turns off devices that
are not being used. When the operating system determines from
applications and user settings that no part of the system is being
used, it puts the entire system into a low-power sleep state.
Operating system compatibility
Additionally, the Tecra 8000 Series computers, like all Toshiba
computers, bear the Microsoft Hardware Compatibility logo. The
logo indicates the unit has passed a series of tests that verify the
compatibility of Toshiba’s hardware systems and associated
adapters with Microsoft Windows.

with a brief description of LANDesk Client Manager v.3.3
(LDCM), a powerful software tool that is bundled with the Tecra
8000 Series and provides manageability solutions across several

LANDesk Client Manager v.3.3
Although not the only tool in Toshiba’s suite of manageability
solutions, LDCM is one that can be used to help the end user (the
