Transmitter sites are often remotely located and sometimes shared among multiple
broadcasters. Access may be limited and tightly controlled. In such cases, keeping
the main processor at the studio and installing a smaller and less expensive stereo
encoder makes sense.
Stations employing main and backup STL’s for redundancy feeding the same or
geographically different transmitter sites can also benefit from Omnia.9sg by
allowing the use of a single processor at the studio.
