Program Type Menu

Controls for choosing the RDS mode (USA or Europe), enabling Dynamic Program
Type (PTY), and choosing a PTY code are located here.

•

Choose “RDS” (for European applications) or “RBDS” (for U.S. use) in the mode
dropdown menu.

•

When enabled, “Dynamic PTY” indicates to listeners that the type of

programming on your station may change periodically, for instance, music
during the week but sports on the weekends. The PTY code can optionally be
updated by your station’s automation system via the 9sg http interface.

•

The “PTY Code” list provides a choice of the 31 standard program formats for

static selection, and will reflect any changes made via the http automation
interface if dynamic PTY is used.
