Main Menu
The “Main Menu” contains five sub-menus with their own sets of controls which are
used for room and speaker calibration.
While the 9sg is somewhat unique in that the speaker calibration controls would not
typically be used for the same purpose they are on Omnia.9 (setting your
processing) it can still be useful to create a calibrated monitoring reference when
you are using the 9sg with OTHER processing that does not include the extensive
built-in monitoring and test instrumentation provided by 9 and 9sg.
Main Menu (No, this is not a typo—we liked it so much we put it there twice!)
The “Main Menu” contains basic gain controls to set the output levels of each
Monitor Output when creating a calibration profile.
•
The “Volume” slider adjusts the output level to the the specified Monitor Output.
•
Enabling the “Bypass” control removes any parametric EQ settings, loudness
contours, or high pass filtering from the Monitor Output.
•
Enabling the “Lock” control will gray out all controls in this menu to prevent
them from accidentally being changed or tampered with and prevents any other
users remotely connected to the unit from changing the selected patch point.
•
The “Pink Noise” controls enable/disable the built-in pink noise generator per
channel (left or right).
