Pressure
Display in bar
If a refrigerant is used which is not available for the selection, the unit “bar” must be set. All displays
in the TCS then take place in “bar absolute”. If the refrigerant used is stored here and selected, all
displays are in °C. The actual value is then the condensing temperature.
Pressure measuring range
The standard pressure measuring range for thermofin
®
pressure sensors is 0-40 bar of relative
pressure. If you use other pressure sensors, the pressure measuring range of the TCS must be
adapted to the pressure sensor used. However, only pressure sensors can be used whose output
signal is a standardized 4… 20 mA signal and whose zero point is at 0 bar of relative pressure.
Lower limit of pressure measuring range:
5 bar of relative pressure
Upper limit of pressure measuring range:
100 bar of relative pressure
Absolute correction (air pressure)
To convert pressure into refrigerant temperature, it is not the relative but the absolute pressure that
is required. Therefore, the air pressure in hPa (mbar) from the installation location of the device serves
as the necessary correction value.
Factory setting:
1,013 bar = 1013 mbar (hPa)
