Disassembling the LDA
Disassemble the LDA as part of the procedure to replace the piston seals or as part of a
corrective or troubleshooting procedure.
Figure 75 shows the proportioning valve and cable assembly. The cable is hardwired to the
valve. As you disassemble the LDA, take care to avoid damaging the electrical wires inside the
insulated cable.
Guide pins Pistons
CAUTION The proportioning valve cables are hardwired to the proportioning valves.
Attempting to remove the cables from the valves can break the electrical wires inside the
insulated cables.
For rendering purposes only, Figure 77 on page 87 through Figure 80 on page 88 show
the LDA without the cables.
