monitoring a patient
chapter 7
7-6
In
graphic
display mode (shown in the next figure), the current blood parameter
values are shown (in a reduced size) on the left side of the screen.
The graphs are updated as new data becomes available unless the most recent point
is not shown (due to the cursor position). Progression of time is charted from left to
right.
The range of the X-axis (time scale) is either 36 minutes (30 second intervals) or 6
hours (5 minute intervals).
The range of values along each graph’s Y-axis is determined automatically by the
alarm thresholds set on the alarms setup screen (in setup mode).
Note:
Historical values are displayed in the original temperature mode (either actual
or 37°C), regardless of the current temperature mode.
Note:
If you change the PCO

units (mmHg or kPa) during a case, the historical
graphic data will be restated to match the current units.

intervals for the graphing of data.
Use the and keys to move the
time cursor along the X-axis.
This symbol indicates that the blood
parameters were displayed at the
actual temperature.
Use the and keys to scroll through the graph
groups. The group number appears in the upper left.
