Information sent out in response to a request or a timed
action, such as calibration data, or sending out a line of
analyte data during Operate mode.
‘K’

From CDI
System 550
Acknowledge a request by echoing back the Command
and SubCommand, along with the requested information
in the Data portion of the packet. Acknowledge packets
are sent back to the requesting device (usually the CDI
System 550) to both confirm that the request came
through successfully, and to provide any data associated
with the request.

Indicates a problem with packet communications. See
the SubCommand list of NAK conditions for more details.
‘E’
Error
From CDI
System 550
Indicates an error condition in the CDI System 550. The
data portion of the packet will contain the error code,
which will be the same as seen on the CDI System 550
screen.
‘S’
Set
To CDI Sys-
tem 550
Sent to the CDI System 550 to set certain parameters,
such as Arterial Flow or certain toggles.
‘G’
Get
To CDI Sys-
tem 550
Sent to the CDI System 550 to request information about
the state of an element in the system, such as the time or
the operate state.
