Hydraulic fluid level
Check the hydraulic fluid level on the gauge in the engine compartment, on the rear left against
the hydraulic tank.
If the level deviates, contact a technician.
6)
Air filter indicator
Check the air filter indicator on the right-hand side of the diesel engine on the air inlet case.
This indicator must not be red.
If that is the case, contact a technician.
7)
Rubbish hopper
Make sure that the rubbish hopper has been lowered completely.
8)
Tailboard
Ensure that the tailboard is closed and locked.
9)
Inspection hatches
Ensure that the inspection hatches are closed and locked.
10)
Manual suction unit (optional)
Ensure that the manual suction unit is locked when it is connected.
11)
Suction mouth and brushes
Check the settings of the suction mouth and brushes.
Adjust if necessary (see § 9.2).
12)
Water system
•
Start the vehicle in accordance with the “Starting the vehicle” procedure (§ 4.2).
•
Switch on the water pump (fig. 5, no. 15) and the sprayer bar (fig. 5, no. 13).
•
Check if water is leaking from the suction mouth. When “high pressure” is switched on
(fig. 5, no. 14) more water must be leaking from the suction mouth.
If that is not the case, contact a technician.
13)
Lights
Check all the vehicle's lights, including the beacons.
Warn a technician if the lights are not functioning properly.
14)
Safety provisions
Check:
-
the reverse buzzer,
-
the tipping/lowering buzzer,
-
the tailboard open/close buzzer,
-
the tipping/lowering flashing light,
-
the action of the emergency stops,
-
the starting safeguard by using the handbrake,
-
the action of the sensor mat in the seat.
Contact a technician if any function is not operating properly.
