Inspection hatches
The rubbish hopper has inspection hatches on both sides. These hatches can be opened to put pieces
of rubbish that are too big for the suction mouth (for instance branches) into the rubbish hopper. It
is recommended to switch the suction fan off before opening these hatches (fig. 5, no. 8).
Sweeping techniques
Sweeping techniques can help the driver to:
•
obtain good sweeping results, and
•
carry out the work at an effective speed.
Low driving speeds ensure that the manoeuvrability of the vehicle is used optimally.
Excessive steering manoeuvres result in increased tyre wear.
Inner corners
Inner corners can be thoroughly cleaned by using the mobile sweeping unit (Technique A):

Moving the sweeping unit can also be used very effectively to:
•
sweep up to and past parked vehicles (Technique B)
•
avoid obstacles, and
•
sweep on the left
