» Warning lamp
Starts flashing when the rubbish hopper starts tipping and continues to flash until the safety
support is in place beneath the rubbish hopper.
When the safety support is removed, the warning light starts flashing again until the rubbish
hopper has been lowered completely.
» Hydraulic pressure switch in the tipping cylinders
Ensures that above a certain weight the rubbish hopper cannot be tipped unless the tailboard is
open.
» Four independent hydraulic pumps
» Over-pressure safeguard on all hydraulic systems
» Hose-rupture safeguards
The hydraulic tipping cylinders are fitted with hose-rupture safeguards.
» Hydraulic system that ensures that the sweeping unit is blocked when raised
The blocking is only removed when the sweeping unit is operated to be lowered. So the
sweeping unit cannot be lowered while the vehicle is driving.
» Hydraulically-powered steering mechanism
The vehicle can still be steered if the diesel engine should break down. The steering mechanism
does offer more resistance, but the vehicle can be steered without damaging the system.

Hand-operated provisions
The following safety provisions must be switched on/applied by the operator.
» Starting safeguard
The vehicle can only be started when:

the hand brake is engaged,
-
the forward / reverse selector is in neutral (N), and
-
the driver is seated.
» Foot brake
Operates independently of the hydraulic circuit and can be used as an emergency brake in all
circumstances.
» Lockable main electrical switch
» Lockable remote control
When locked it cannot be used by others.
» Safety supports beneath the rubbish hopper
Extendable when the rubbish hopper is fully tipped.
