2.2.
General safety regulations
» The operator must always observe the safety aspects and pictograms in this user's manual and the
safety symbols fixed to the vehicle.
The prescribed safety procedures must always be carried out in the correct sequence.
» The vehicle may only be operated from the driver's seat, except when the remote control is being
used.
» The operator must keep a safe distance from the vehicle when using the remote control.
» During transportation and while working with the vehicle:
-
it is recommended to switch on the (safety) lights.
-
the operator must always ensure that he has a good overview of the surroundings and the
vehicle.
His attention must not be distracted from the traffic and he must always act in accordance
with prevailing conditions.
-
no more than two operators may be present in or around the vehicle: one driver and one co-
driver or operator of the manual suction unit.

the plastic see-through hatch in the cabin may not be removed
» The operators may only leave the cabin once:
-
all functions have been disengaged and have come to a standstill, and
-
the hand brake has been engaged.
» It is prohibited to place any objects on the seat. A sensor mat has been fitted to the seat as a
safety precaution.
» The operator may not wear loose clothing that could in any way become entangled in the vehicle.
» Adequate personal protective gear is compulsory:
-
safety shoes
: always
-
safety gloves
: when operating the
manual suction unit
, hosing-down hose and
high-pressure lance
: while adjusting / working on brushes
: during maintenance work
-
safety goggles
: while using the
high-pressure lance
» It is forbidden to sweep up any materials that may pose a health hazard in any way.
The sweeper must not be used if there is a risk of hazardous substances, such as
asbestos for example, being blown out to a greater or lesser degree.
» All maintenance, repairs, repairing of breakdowns and any activities not mentioned in this
manual may only be carried out by the technician (see § 1.2).
» Only carry out activities on the vehicle when:
-
it is switched off completely, and
-
the hand brake has been engaged.
» No work may be carried out beneath the rubbish hopper unless the safety supports are extended.
» The driver should always call in the technician if he notices any damage or defect to the vehicle.
Stipulated use
» This vehicle may only be used for:
-
sweeping paved surfaces,
-
sweeping up litter, sand, grit and leaves.
