Turn the ignition key to the 1st position.
The glow plug indicator lamp lights up.

Wait until the indicator lamp is extinguished.

Then turn the ignition key to the next position and release it as soon as the diesel engine is
running.
9)
Rev the engine briefly and then release it.
The dynamo indicator lamp is extinguished and the diesel engine is idling.
4.3.
Driving the vehicle
The forward / reverse selector is still in neutral (N).
The engine speed is stationary, ±900 revs/min.
1)
Release the hand brake.
2)
Check that the sweeping unit is raised (fig. 5, no. 6).
3)
Select the desired driving direction with the forward/reverse selector (see § 3.2).
The operating functions required for driving the vehicle are given below:
Driving
Pressing down the accelerator pedal (fig. 1, no. 14) will move the vehicle slowly forward, whereby
the engine speed of the diesel engine will gradually increase.
The speed can be regulated by the extent to which the pedal is pressed.
Braking
The vehicle’s hydraulic drive ensures that the vehicle will gradually stop when the accelerator pedal
is released.
When the foot brake (fig. 1, no. 17) is used, the vehicle immediately brakes forcefully.
•
The operator must continually observe the traffic situation and adapt his own
situation and actions to it. He must ensure that his attention is not distracted
from the traffic.
•
The mirrors, indicators and lights must be used properly.
4.4.
While driving
While driving, the driver must check the following functions of the vehicle and engine regularly to
prevent damage:
Master instrument MFA (see § 3.6)
» Press the key with the symbol
on the MFA master instrument to show the current fuel
tank level in the display.

There should always be a sufficient amount of diesel in the tank.

At a tank level of ± 18 litres, an automatic warning is given (see § 3.6).

At a tank level of ± 4 litres, an alarm is given (see § 3.6).
