REPLACING THE BATTERY
The life of the battery is about 2 years. When the lithium battery life is expired, replace the battery with
a new one in the following procedure.
NOTE: The voltage of the lithium battery can be checked by performing a self-diagnostic test. (Refer
to Section 6.4.)
1) Remove the side cover from the printer. (Refer to Section 2.2.)
2) Disconnect the battery harness from CN8 on the CPU PC board. Cut the cable band that secures
the battery harness to the I/O harness.
3) Remove the I/O PC board from the printer. (Refer to Section 2.6.)
4) Remove the two P-3x6 screws to detach the I/O PCB support plate B.

CAUTION!
Care must be taken not to damage the battery harness when cutting the cable band.
