2.15 REPLACING THE PINCH ROLLER (STRIP BLOCK)
1) Open the top cover, and turn the head lever and pinch roller lever counterclockwise to open the
print head and pinch roller. Then open the ribbon shaft holder plate. (Refer to Section 2.2.)
2) Push the pinch roller release lever toward the front of the printer to release the strip pinch roller
unit.
3) Remove the screw to detach the spring and the pinch roller shaft. Then pull out the strip pinch
roller ass’y from the printer.
4) Remove the two E-4 E-rings and pull out shaft to detach the pinch roller.
5) Replace the pinch roller with a new one, then reassemble the printer in the reverse order of
removal.
