The Z- brane is a revolut ionary product which incorporates the Z - Guard Hi gh Vo ltage Capaci-
tive technology into the me mbrane pressure vessel. A lways active, the Z - Brane crea tes an envi-
ronment that is unfriendly to bio - fi lm and bacteria. The Z technology also assists in the preven-
tion of scale formation on the membrane surfaces. The Z - Brane allows the system to be shut
down or decommi ss ioned for extended p eriods of time w ithout chemicals or preservatives. The
Z - Brane wi ll not prevent freezin g so that in cold cl i mates Propylene Glycol is sti ll requ ired.
ANODE INST AL LA T ION
Spectra Watermakers ship the High Pressure Module w ith the White Z - brane electrod es(s) re-
moved from their socket(s) to prevent shipping dama ge. Before the High Pressure Modu le i s
mounted the anodes should be installed.
The socket(s) have been plug ged w ith plast ic plu gs to keep the membranes clean and moi st dur-
in g sh ipp in g and storage. Re move the “C - clips” that secure the plugs, and remove the plu g s.
Insert an anode into each sock et. It do esn’t matter which anode goes in wh ich socket. Insert
the anode until the groove is f lush with the me mbrane end plug, so the C - clip wi l l s l ip into the
groove. Instal l the C - clip screw to secure the clip.
