Pr
ocedure:
Step
1:
Clo
se
the
seaco
ck.
Flush
the
system
twice.
Use
the
“Auto
Flush”
button
on
the
MPC
-
5000 display, once the first flu
sh has been completed, press “Stop” to cancel the 5 day
interval timer, then press “Auto Flush” again.
Step
2
:
Remove
the
quick
d
isconnect
fitting
from
the
br
ine
dischar
ge
outlet
of
the
Clark
pump,
and
replace
with
a
quick
disconnect
from
your
service
kit,
fitted
to
a
hose,
and
lead
the hose to a bu
cket.
Step 3:
Press “Auto Flush” again
to fi
ll
the bucket with 1 gal
lon (4L) of fresh
unchlor
inated
water. Pr
ess “Stop” when the bu
cket h
as reach
ed th
e desired level.
Step
4:
Connect
a
hose,
using
the
garden
hose
barb
fittin
g
fro
m
your
service
k
it,
to
the
ser-
vice
port
of
the
boost
pump
module.
Lead
the
hose
into
th
e
buck
et.
Turn
th
e
service
v
alve
on the boost pump module 180
°, so the intake is now co
min
g fro
m the bucket.
Step 5:
Mix the cleanin
g chem
ical compound
into the water in the bu
cket.
Step
6:
Make
sure
the
pressure
rel
ief
val
ve
on
the
Clark
pu
mp
is
Open
(unpressuri
zed).
Step
7:
U
se
the
“Run
Manual”
switch
on
the
MPC
control
box
to
turn
on
the
f
eed
pump.
Circulate
the cleaning
chemical
in
the
system
for
approximately
25
minutes.
Allow
to
soak
for
several
hours
or
overnight
if
the
solution
is
cold.
Run
the
pump
occasionally
to
ag
itate
the solution.
Set the togg
le sw
itch to Auto when fini
shed.
Step
8:
Turn
off
the
MPC
control
system
(DC)
po
wer.
Replace
the
brine
overbo
ard
hose.
Remove the Inlet Service hose and turn the Service valve to the Run position.
Step
9:
To
avoid

the
membranes,

System
Startup”
Instruc

to Purge the ch
emicals out of the Sy
stem.
