dish soap such as Joy.
Don’t use anything that may contain bleach. You wi

l need quite a
lot of chlorine free fresh water. If usin
g shore water run it through a charcoal filter at a rat
e
of not more than 1.5 gallon

iters) per m
inute.

fresh
water
and
m
ix
in
a
couple
squ
irts
of
the
detergent.
Run
the
sy
stem
depressurized
w
ith
the
watermaker
drawing
water
from
the
bucket
and
dischargin
g
over-
board.
When
about
half
the
water
is
gone
from
the
bucket
stop
the
unit
and
let
the
me
m-
brane
soak
for
a
few
m
inutes.
Restart
and
pump
the
remain
in
g
solut
ion
overboard.
Repeat
until the dischar
ge appears clean.
After
most
of
th
e
oil
is
cleaned
out
you
c
an
pu
t
th
e
brine
discharge
into
th
e
buck
et
and
run
the
system
with
the
soapy
water
circulating
as
you
wou
ld
for
the
other
cleaning
chemical
s.
Rinse
the
system
with
a
bucket
of
fresh
wat
er
or
th
e
fresh
wat
er
flush
cycle,
then
flush
for
twenty minutes usin
g
sea water. Pr
essurize and test.
