Information
This is the
adjustment
the
mode.
This adjustment
required
when R V9
the CD-17
board
has
been
adjusted
by mistake,
R V9 or the
capstan motor has been replaced.

This adjustment
is to set the FG pulse of the capstan
motor to the snecitred rrecuencv
Note:
There
is another
way of performing
the tape
speed adjustment
by playing back the alignment
tape in the test mode B, but this adjustment
should not be used because
the alignmen t tape
may be transformed
with use.
The rotating
of the capstan
could be
UU.I'U.:lI~'-'u.
by setting
the FG pulse
to the specified
frequency
but the tape speed is also in proportion
to the diameter
of the capstan.
If the capstan is worn out extremely,
it
happens
that
the
tape
speed
may not
correctly
E.
When the servo is not locked in the PLAY mode even if
this adjustment
has been performed,
check the pinch
roller pressure
using sequence
established
in steps 10
to 14 in Section
3 -1 7, then
Section
11 Servo
For the replacement
of the capstan
motor,
refer to
Section 3-1 7.
Check
Connect
the
coun ter to TP6.
2.
Thread a tape and record a video signal.
3.
While recording,
check that the counter
reads:
839.4 Hz
±
0.3 Hz; for NTSC/PAL-M
825.0
±
Hz; for
If necessary,
adjust R V9 on the CD-I 7 board.
