R : SET ROUTE
Purpose
A function to display the expanded source name, when 2
switchers are combined to expand the input.
Source name that is actually selected will be displayed by
following the source connected to the route destination
when the route setting is performed.
There also is a function to automatically switch the cross-
point in the route destination side when the switching
including the expanded destination is requested.
Up to 64 cross-points can be set with the route function.
In the following example, by using the route function to
expand the IN005 of Switcher2 to IN001 to IN004 of
Switcher1, and to output the input signals from IN001 to
IN004 to OUT017 of Switcher2, it can secure the commu-
nication route from remote control in one action, and
display the expanded source name (IN001 to IN004) to the
cross-point status of OUT017.
At this time, the level of Switcher 1 and that of Switcher 2
must be the same.
(Please refer to “5-1. Route Function” for more detailed
information about the route function.)
