PowerShell Test Support Utilities
PowerShell offers several utilities and higher-level commands that perform testing support functions on a port level.
These commands utilize Port Configuration and/or Measurement commands described above, and therefore
programmers should be aware that certain configurations previously established by those commands may change upon
execution of the Test Support Utility commands. As with the Test Port Configuration and Measurement commands, the
port
parameter may be used with these commands to direct which slot-port should be configured or from which slot-
port to return a status.

Automatically configures the chassis (or PSA2400 chassis
group) to the ALT and Polarity (MDI vs MDI-X) configuration
of the PSE connected to the current

Combines the
port connect
operation with capability to
adjust trigger #1 and static DC load current settings
coincident
with the port (detection passives) connection. See

psa_
disconnect
<
port
>
Forces a PSE Port power-down to occur. Opens the port
switch, sets DC current load to 0 mA, performs brief
discharge of port voltage.
trigout
:
Generates an external trigger out during the
physical disconnect operation.
power_check
<
port
>
Returns one of 4 states from a test port:
POWERED
: Indicates PSE port is powered up.
DOWN
: PD Disconnected, Port Not Powered.
POWERED_W/O_LOAD
: Indicates PSE port powered with
no PD connected.
UNDETECTED
: PD Connected but PSE port not powered.
