Non-volatile data and real-time clock properties
Properties
Non-volatile data
Real-time clock
Location
Non-volatile data resides in the
FRAM of SIMOTION D410.
The real-time clock is backed up using
SuperCap.
Backup battery
No
No
Backup time
Unlimited
At least 5 days
If the real-time clock backup time is exceeded, the time is reset.
Note
IP and DP parameters in non-volatile data
The IP and DP parameters are loaded from configuration data on the CompactFlash Card
during startup for use by the SIMOTION device. The SIMOTION D410 can use the
addresses defined in these data to go online. The IP and DP parameters on the
CompactFlash Card are also written to non-volatile memory during startup. The IP and DP
parameters in non-volatile data is retained and used by the SIMOTION device if the system
is restarted with a CompactFlash Card which does not contain any configuration data. Thus,
the SIMOTION device can continue to go online if a configuration was loaded with
SIMOTION SCOUT at least once or if the SIMOTION device is powered up with a
CompactFlash Card containing a configuration.
Volatile SIMOTION data (RAM / current RAM)
The volatile SIMOTION data is defined by the following properties:
●
The volatile SIMOTION data is located in the RAM memory of the SIMOTION device.
●
The download data of SIMOTION SCOUT is written to this memory.
