Connecting to the nurse call system
Socket on the back of Carina to transmit alarms to
a central alarm system within the clinic.
Plug: AMP/Tyco 5-555237-3, 6-pin

Dräger makes the following recommendations for
safety reasons: Use an N.C. contact so that any
disconnection or cable break will trigger a nurse
call.

device.

Check that the connected nurse call system is
operating correctly.
Technical data of the nurse call system
WARNING
A nurse call system used in conjunction with
Carina must conform to IEC 60601-1-8 and
transmit alarms from Carina within 5 seconds.
Risk of injury to patient if alarms are not timely
transmitted to the nurse call system.
CAUTION
A nurse call system may only be connected by
trained electrical staff!
CAUTION
Check the nurse call system once a month.
