Instructions for Use Carina SW 3.n
Information on preparation
Before every use, reprocess Carina and all the
accessories according to the information in the
Instructions for Use, see page 103.
Comply with the hospital's hygiene regulations!
Fitting the inlet filter
Unpack the inlet filter.
1 Insert the inlet filter at the bottom,
2 swivel it in and
3 press at the top until its snaps into place.
Positioning Carina
z Place Carina on a flat, stable surface.
z Keep the cooling air vents on the underside of
Carina free.
z Keep the emergency air inlet and oxygen over-
flow free.
z Keep a clearance of at least 20 cm all round free
for air supply. Do not cover the device!
WARNING
The distance between the back of the device
and any large obstruction or the wall of the
room must not be less than 20 cm. Fire hazard
due to high concentration of oxygen.
WARNING
Do not place the device on the bed. Pillows
and blankets can affect the supply of air!
