4.6 Meaning of the LEDs

Access Rights for Communication
Access rights for the communication via
Ethernet
with
Modbus TCP
protocol are controlled for port 502 and
for the user port (default setting 10000), for the communication with the
Modbus UDP
protocol for default
port 51000. For both protocols, you can either assign full access rights or read-only rights.
Access rights for the
serial communication
with
Modbus RTU
protocol are also controlled. You can either
assign full access rights or read-only rights.

Meaning of the LEDs
SICAM I/O Unit automatically monitors the functions of its hardware and software components. The LEDs on
the top side of the housing indicate the current device status.

Depending on the status, the LEDs can be permanently on, flash or off. The states are described in
chapter 10.3. The meaning of the LEDs during normal operation is explained in the following table:
