1. Configure the road as shown in chapter 6.6.1.1 Adapting information about the
measurement site . Define the number and width of the lanes as well as the direction of
travel.
2. Configure the system functions for vehicle detection (see 6.6.2 Configuring system
functions for vehicle detection ).
6.14.3 Configuring an additional LMS Length in an offset position
In this example, the length and speed measurement in stop-and-go traffic is to be
increased through the use of a second
LMS Length . The LMS Length is mounted in an
offset position in Z position on a post. It scans the front of the vehicles.
The first step involves adding the LMS Length to the site configuration via the TEMS
Manager navigation area. The offset position is then configured.

1. Open the site in editing mode and activate expert mode.
2. Go to the Free Flow Profiler system function level and click the
Show/hide control
elements for activating/deactivating subsystem components to display additional
system components.
