Preparing for Motorized Sectioning (DM only)
To perform motorized sectioning, select the motorized sectioning mode to be used on the [MOTORIZED]
Tab Screen first.
Next, adjust the position of the specimen head and cut the specimen to flat surface. Then, check the section
thickness and perform sectioning (final shaving).
Preparing for Sectioning
In preparation for sectioning, check the temperature, prepare frozen blocks and adjust the specimen head.
For details, refer to the item, "Preparing for Sectioning" on p. 2-4.
Selecting an Motorized Sectioning Mode
Select a desired mode for motorized sectioning.
Press the "Motorized Sectioning Mode Change" button on the
[MOTORIZED] Tab Screen to change the mode.

TRIM mode
In the TRIM mode, you can automatically cut the specimen to
flat surface (rough shaving) at the set TRIM thickness.
Refer to p. 1-31 for information on how to set the TRIM
thickness.

FINE mode
In the FINE mode, you can automatically section the specimen
to flat surface (final shaving) at the preset section thickness.
Refer to p. 1-30 for information on how to set the section
thickness.

PAUSE mode
In the PAUSE mode, sectioning (final shaving) is paused
immediately before the section is cut off.
Refer to p. 1-35 for information on how to change the stopping
position.
