Introduction
With this function, you can scan documents and send
them as JPEG, TIFF or PDF files to a File Transfer Pro-
tocol Server (FTP)—to archive them, for example. You
require a user/login name and password for the
server. The device logs on to the FTP server and
transfers the created file.
1 Insert the document.

SCANNING A DOCUMENT AND
SAVING ON A NETWORK
COMPUTER WITH SMB

Introduction
With the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol, you
can scan documents and save them in an approved
folder on a computer on the network. You require the
network name of the computer, the complete path to
the target directory (approved address), the user/
login name and the password.
